I would imagine it was also a two-way street regarding "jumped on his azz" and his posts at least partially provoked it I doubt he was an innocent bystander as your post would infer.

I'm certain he is great person. But regarding Memphis, if he really "does want them to do well", I totally disagree with his procedure of doing so. Fair enough?

He's been jumped on so many times by so many people here....that is his initial reaction. I've never met him in person...but he has slipped me emailed noted from time to time wishing my wife well as she battles a severe illness. THAT tells me what kind of man he is. He IS A-OK in my book.
I maintain he is a gentleman...and if I do ever get to meet him....have a drink with him.

From my (very limited dealings) with TG4, all on the message board, a couple of private messages, and what others tell me, I think he's a pretty good dude. That said, when he takes to the interwebs talking about how he got paid during his college years at Memphis (or otherwise disparaging the program), he's crossing the line. And, I think deep down he has to know that he is crossing the line.

That said, he is free to do/say what the wants...but, he has to understand that he is going to take a little heat for it.

It would be like someone INTENTIONALLY stirring people up and then when they react, that person acting like they didn't understand why everyone is so riled up. Surely you can grasp that concept 'b'?

I've heard he's a good guy in real life and I trust my sources. But this ain't real life and his message board persona is a deek.

from what I hear, TG4 has given more to our school than pretty much any poster here.

i am confused, astounded, and ashamed that we as a group would not let him post here.
