30 seconds of research on our Defensive Coordinator
Just did about 30 seconds of research on our D Coordinator...Ed Pinkham. I wish I knew how to link the article. He was the Elon University D Coordinator the past 2 seasons. Elon is the team that gave up 70 to Georgia Tech 2 weeks ago. Coach Pinkham's 2012 Elon bunch gave up a total of 350 points in 11 games last year (31.8 per game). That was good for second to last in the Southern Conference. Now, I'm sure Ed is a nice man and I certainly wish him nothing but success but those results coupled with last night's performance certainly raise a few red flags. Why exactly was he our choice? I gotta admit I kinda zoned out when the Coordinators were hired but my curiosity has peaked after the Nichols debacle. I know he has Rutgers ties to the Fleckster but his track record fails to ease my concerns. Were KB and Dunn on vacation when the new hires were vetted?

Tough time of the year to put together a staff. The coaches convention is not until after the recruiting season ends, and the Fleckster had no staff he could bring with him. Kind of take what you can get at that point.

Both concern me. Ciarroca does more that Pinkham. HC concerns me most.

Ciarrocca is the one we should most worry about, run, run, pass, punt. His play calling is so predictable and stupid.
