I was glad it got reinstated. I was pretty infuriated at the original news.

Last I heard they were dropping at least one weight class - which doesn't make any sense. If anything they should be adding some weight classes. High school has 14, college has 10 and now the Olympics (last I heard anyway) was going to only 6 weight classes from 7 in recent history. That is just too much of a weight difference when the lowest is around 125 and the highest is 285 (or maybe now is 260). College has 10 classes with the lowest being 125 and up to 285 as well. Problem is, it goes from 197 to 285 - so someone at a solid 220 in high school has to drop 23 pounds - or wrestle guys in college that are 60 pounds heavier.

At one time (not that long ago) the Olympics had the following weight classes (in pounds vs. Kg) 114; 126; 138; 149; 163; 172; 181; 198; Unlmtd. From 9 classes down to 6 (I'm guessing, but it will be something like 133; 149; 163; 181; 198; 260.
