I had the same question about Malone. And did they redshirt RB Tearris Wallace, cause I never saw my guy play. Though I may have missed it taking bio breaks. We have a healthy staple of RB's. We need to use them all to control time possession and wear D's out.

I was wondering about Malone as well. Our RBs all seem so small and can't break tackles. I realize that Warford is a FR, but he was awful today. He fumbled, couldn't break tackles and danced around too much.

Small RB's can't run up the middle all day. But then again I didn't see any holes open up.

Cigh...

I don't care that you know my screen name on the CA...give it a rest. I don't hide behind screen names, and if I talk bad about a player I call him by his name.

I know his name, prefer not to use it when being negative

RE: #87 [performed poorly]
Malone fumbled the ball a lot last year which is probably why he is 2nd string. He still makes me nervous that he still returns punts.

I hate that bobby mccain doesn't return kickoffs anymore. The new guy tried a few risky returns but he did ok. #2 i believe.

And i saw #87 drop a pass, but he didn't play so bad to be called out in a thread title. He led the team in receiving yards.

OK, I'm better now.

I don't think he sucks, but he certainly could have laid out a little on that last pass, with the entire game on the line. That was a very well thrown ball, any shorter and that Cockrell dude would have been all over it.

I counted at least 4 drops for him.

I don't think he felt very well. I heard rumors that he had the case of the dropsies.

Calling one player out by number (like we don't know who that is) is not cool. This was the first game. I'm sure that guy practiced hard all summer in the heat, had the confidence of his coaches, and did his best yesterday.

Sometimes I wish we could critique some of you guys at YOUR jobs. Or better yet, your golf game. Or even your kids who are on scholarship. Because this is not this young man's job.

Give 'em all a bit of time. This team is a work in progress. We are getting there.
Let the coaches coach and you just be the best fan you can be. Come out and party and support this team. Bi-ch all you want on this board, but please don't call out players by number.

Pointing fingers at individual players is not the thing to do. Some fans like to do it, but in the long run that is not good for the program. And, in this case, I think the OP is way off-base anyway. That one long pass that Jones caught was a thing of beauty. Several he (and others) missed were highly contested.

If our receivers play just a little better, we will be a much better team.

The talent is there. More reps and more game days will help smooth the rough edges.

Fred Biletnikoff and Lester Hayes were the stickum kings.
