Ugly game....we have A LOT of work to do, but a Win is a Win? Dixon out, but King had 182 yards tonight.

Final: 27-14 (by the skin of our teeth!!)
I think Lamar has a solid football team. I sure hope they do because they were every bit as good as us, if not better.
Total yards:
Tech - 440
Lamar - 360
No turnovers for Tech. 1 for Lamar. TOP equal, first downs equal. Tevin King was the difference in the game.

RE: Lamar @ LaTech game thread
Dixon going out really changed our O - glad we were playing a really terrible team. Every time we actually threw the ball down field which was a 4 times we had a big play but I would have to bench our QB for hanging Dixon out like he did.

Thanks to Young. Said they were icing his knee but was on the sidelines. Not sure if he will play against Tulane, but King ain't to shabby.

Wish our QB had the hit and not Dixon - said on radio Dixon is walking around okay but they took him out to get it looked at since he has Sunday potential.

I think Tech got lucky
Why are the coaching staffs against putting Hunter Lee back at RB?

We suck but and lost most of our team from last season but I still like our chances against most of CUSA with the way they have looked so far.

depends on how well Young plays going forward because his stats may have looked great tonight, but there were some bad passes

I have a feeling that's our formula for winning this year... strong running game, no turnovers, bend-but-don't-break defense, increased blood pressure each quarter.

I have to give a shout out to Kyle Fischer, 2 for 2 from 44 and 49 field goals. His first college field goal was 44. He will make a difference over the next 4 years.

Kyle won it during the fall camp. It was close between Kyle and Barnes. Kyle was a preferred walk on last year and tommerdal was close to putting Kyle in last year.
Kyle also has a stronger leg than Barnes.

he should've been put in towards the end of last season when Nelson started to suck

LOL... this sounds exactly like the ECU of old, under Skip's watch. If it turns out as well for y'all as it did for us, you'll be pleased with the finished product. This assumes, of course, that he stays in Ruston and that he recruits better for y'all than he did for us.

I think it'll be difficult for him to get a bigger job unless he turns Tech into Boise St.

I dont care how we do it. I just want to win. Ugly or not, i never want to sit at home with a 9-3 record ever again. Just win and go bowling and im happy.
