They were all taken (there are no FCS teams in Oklahoma though Tulsa is the closest) plus if they're going to lose to a powerhouse FCS team, they may as well lose to one out of state to make their in-state rep (which isn't anything to write home about tbh) safe from harm.

Montana State was taken too. We bought them out of their other game. The answer to Native Georgian's question is, I don't know why we didn't schedule Central Arkansas or someone like that instead.

I think our rep is just as much in jeopardy vs. Montana State as it would be vs. SHSU or SFA.

Props to Lollipop for taking such a random question and turning it into smack against not just 1 but 2 teams.

I hope they get enough rest, I'd hate for them to come out cold and unprepared because of this delay.

I've been to the Bozeman airport. It looks like a ski lodge and has a whopping 2 gates, or at least it did in 1999.

I tried finding the clip on youtube but this thread reminds me of the scene in Major League where the pilot is duct taping the propeller blade.

They are young and should recover in time for the game.

Montana State is #3 in the country in FCS. They are a good team. I think it's amazing that we are favored at all.

Yea, but SMU is ready for them. And you do have a good team (not as good as you want it to be, I know).
On a side note, S Eastern should have just tied up TCU. No one was within 15 yards of their wideout -bad pass.

TCU is overrated. Had LSU been on their game last week, they would have run away with the game. Heck, LSU outgained TCU by nearly 200 yards.

This is terrible scheduling. If you're going to play an FCS, play one you can hammer.

Precisely. We dropped Baylor for an easy win, and then we scheduled a game that isn't an easy win.

UCA (#6 in FCS) will get $390k to (I hope) beat Colorado.

No, I would not turn that down, if I am UCA, either.

#3...#6...I guess SMU gets shafted either way.

It's about geographic proximity. If we aren't going to schedule an easy win, why play someone from clear across the country?
