Big East games to CBS?
I think I saw an article in the Greensboro paper this morning where CBS had bought the rights to broadcast Big East games from Fox.

Details?

I found it on ESPN.

RE: Big East games to CBS?
Is this a big deal? FOX is just taking extra stock and selling it to CBS and trying to recoup some of the money its paying in the deal. The schools won't make any more off it. It's the same thing ESPN just did with extra American game stock.

The American is playing 12 games on CBS, the Big East will play 2... all the rest will be played on CBS Sports Network, and in my opinion, those games will be a downgrade from Fox Sports 1 or the ESPN Networks.

The American has 3 games on CBS, which is 1 more than the Big East.
Big East 15 conference, 3 OOC games on CBSSN, American 24 conference, and more OOC
Big East 8 conference on FSN, American 20 ESPNU, 23 ESPNNews(with more obviously OOC)
Big East 65 on FS1, American 20 ESPN/ESPN2(with more OOC)

CBS has acquired most of its basketball inventory for CBS broadcast this way. The weekend games on CBS broadcast during college basketball season from the Pac-12, Big 12, Big Ten, ACC, and SEC are sublicensed from ESPN.

Not a bad deal for the Big East. Just a way to get more games on national TV.

Yeah, it's not bad, getting games on CBS is a tradeoff for having to have games on CBS sports network I guess.
