ECU will get a test next game. Good luck. FAU looks to have a solid future if Pelini stays a while.

Really? Gonna pull the"if" scenario. Man Marshall fans are butt hurt. We played a bad game on a short week and still won by two scores.

The Hardy catch that wasn't.

http://vimeo.com/73940545

He caught it, but F-ed up when he went to show the ball to the ref like he's done in most of his amazing catches, but this time his knee hit the ball and pops it out. If hadn't tired to lift the ball up to show it to the ref it's a TD. Though it'd didn't count, IMO it's still one hell a catch, he just needs to keep rolling with both hands over the ball till he stops sit up then hand the ball to the ref.

We did not play bad...We were winning 31-6 at the start of the 4th quarter and then pulled our starters, IMHO that a good days work at the office. No excuses needed. Like the old saying...They don't ask how much they ask how many. We got the win, time to move on. Don't worry what Marsha, Marsha, Marsha fans say...They will get a chance to play both ECU and FAU on the field and then we will know where everyone stacks up..No need for talk, we will get to see it worked out on the field. If we are as bad as they say then they should have no problem smoking us on the field, where it counts.

What the hell is there to see. A RB running for 100 yards, a couple rushing TD's. What more do you want from an Air Raid offense. That's not what we do or have made a living from since Ruff's got here, but there is no way it's a glaring weakness, not as long as Cooper and our OL stays healthy at least. His back ups are more unknown at this point.

ECU resume has four Liberty Bowls and two Cusa Championships. Outside of Tulsa and USM the "others" are still trying to win games and Cusa Championships on paper and chat boards like this one.

No catch by Hardy. The replay from under the crossbars is the clearest shot.

Stats are for losers we won and by 18

Fake stats are for people who are butthurt over real stats.

Do you not realize he was making fun of your coach? We saw those "fake stats" for five years.

It really does not matter because Coach Ruff will not try to run up the score on others.......if so, the starters would have played the fourth quarter. FAU did a good job with what it had but FAU was no match for Purple and Gold. (Just a side note ECU beat ncsu with Wilson @ QB the last time we met (No Skip) and have won 6 out of last 10.) A bigger question and concern for you is what happen to LT @ncsu last week and not a TD for ECU was good or not.

You are 100% right...It was not a catch based on the wording of the rule. If Hardy would have just stayed on the ground for a second longer and did not try to pull the ball out with his hand to show it to the ref there would not have been a question about it...Hopefully he learned a lesson from this incident. But make no mistake, he caught that ball but his actions after the catch made it be an incomplete pass and it was the correct call.

Didn't you guys knock out NCSU's qb? How'd that work out for you?

I agree that we have a long way to go from our QB play last year... Wasn't trying to be negative about ECU in my posts just stating the fact that the Hokies don't have a very good QB and I will be pulling for you'll to beat them. You'll have a pretty solid team this year 02-13-banana

I agree...He failed to maintain control all the way to the ground. That angle clearly showed the ball was loose and he flipped it to the ref. From my seat..it looked like a catch. Good call.

The oline did play poorly. Got pushed around. I'm going to go out in a limb and say something was off. We should have a strong Ol.

The issue here is with the drive chart. Football isn't a one-sided game. Our offense didn't have it's greatest game but they were able to move the ball a bit. Defense and special teams helped out with great field position.

It's a team game.

No you tried to stir the pot by saying two of our touchdowns didn't count. Don't troll then try to act all innocent. 05-nono

I am thinking the team was looking ahead to VT; I know the fan base is looking ahead to that game...it will probably be the defining game for the season. ODU and FAU is like watching a warm up band while you are waiting for your favorite to come on stage...no offense to those school intended.

ODU was one hell of a "warm up band"...just saying.

I think you're really not giving them enough credit.

Yeah, they score 10 points on Maryland. I am real impressed. As coach Logan use to say "we made that kid look like a heisman trophy canidate" well we made ODU look much better than they really are as a FBS team....we are good at that.

I didn't say they didn't count, I just said you only had to drive 12 yards to get them. I then complimented FAU on a fine defensive performance.
