That and the fact that LSU went on from there to win the SEC Championship and the BCS NC game within the next couple of seasons.

I only hope we can do the same for Les Miles this year.

No.
The life of the LSU victory has nothing to do with that. It has had extended life because it is all UAB fans have to hang their hat on. Nothing has supplanted it. Although there have been wins over much better teams than that LSU, they don't gain traction in the SEC obsessed world UAB fans live in.

I know most are going to stay in NOLA but if in Baton Rouge friday evening we will be at Hooters that is right off the interstate at the Campus drive exit. (turn right). We will be there with our green on.
Why Hooters?- walking distance (in a pinch) to the hotel.

I've gotten a lot of mileage out of that game, having an office between a gump and and LSU grad. That one game shut them both up.

That reminds me. I need to get "the Legend of" Josh Booty's annual thank you note in the mail.

It's a jersey game, much like that almost-win over Tennessee in 2009. That Tennessee team was bad, but it still would have been beating Tennessee on the road, which grabs more headlines than beating a ranked UTEP or TCU (back then).

So much for signing big wide receivers. If the Football team left this morning, it doesn't sound like Drec Humphrey or JJ green are going and Drec still hasn't been cleared to play.

I was going to ask about Humphrey. Big loss yet again to go without him. At some point you have to think about holding him out the whole year. Nothing dumber than getting him eligible only to have a few games left this season.

At least Backman will be back but without Humphrey we are missing a big component of our offensive firepower.

No worries yet. We still have twelve more games after LSU. 04-rock

RE: LSU Game
LSU beat TCU which LSU folks thought was a sign of how good they'd be this year. Well don't look now, but TCU is only up on SE LA by 3 in the 3rd quarter.
