NFL Dukes
Just saw that Earl Watford was listed is the #2 Right and Left Guard on the Cardinals depth chart. Bryant listed on the IR. Jordan is #1 on KC depth chart, while Moats is listed as #2 Middle LB for Bills. Good stuff.

Here's to hoping next year we add Josh Wells, Daequan Scott, and (long shot) Cameron Starke to that list. Also, I feel like we haven't discussed the possibility of DQ going pro. Anyone else care to weigh in on his chances at getting an invite to a camp somewhere?

He's off to a good start! Special teams will be key for him. Let's hope he stays healthy and has a monster season!

I think you meant (Long Kick) Cameron Starke. Also Stephon Robertson has the best chance of making an NFL game day roster next year.

Nahhh I'd say Josh Wells does. Robertson might be a bit small to be drafted, but I expect him to get camp invites.

Drafted or not he'll be on a game day roster.

RE: NFL Dukes
Was Derrick Lloyd better than Akeem Jordan ??? IMO Marlowe (yes I now he's a junior) is the most pro ready player right now as far as talent and size go!!! As far as pure talent I would have to say Robertson but I would like to compare akeem and stephon simply because they both play LB, they weigh about the same with Stephon 2 inches shorter, any thoughts on who might be better coming out of college assuming Robertson has a good year ??? DQ will definitely make an NFL team whether it be for special teams or as a slot receiver he's just a playmaker which is attractive to many NFL teams!!!!

Sorry, meant to include Stephon. Not sure how or why he got left off. Doubt he'll ever find his way into a starting position, but with how quick he is and how hard he hits, I bet he would make a great special teams player, similar to how Akeem got his start.

DQ will have to run pretty darn fast to make a 53. Robertson will have to show something special on special teams to make a 53. MLB his size are very rare. Dean will get draft , especially if he runs in the low 4.5 range. I don't watch lineman play so I can't guess that lol .

The only way that knucklehead gets drafted is if the military reinstitutes the draft for a war.

I don't know about that.

MILB is the only front seven defense position where you can be smallish and still be great. London Fletcher is only 5'10", as is Dexter Coakley. NFL great Sam Mills is 5'9". Zach Thomas and Jessie Tuggle are 5'11". Nick Buoniconti is 5'11". That's a pretty good list of MILB that weren't big and aside from Thomas and Buoniconti those guys all went to smaller schools due to their size.

And Fletcher went undrafted (out of D3 John Carroll). It can happen but it's certainly rare and a long shot.

I didn't know this until looking it up just now, but apparently Fletcher went to STFU and played basketball for a year before transferring to John Carroll.

Agreed it is certainly rare, but I do think that Robertson is that once a generation gifted athlete that can play with anyone, size be damned. And luckily for him he plays at a position where there is precendence for being able to perform while not being a hulking beast in the way Urlacher or The Baltimore Stabber are.

Kind of a new era in football. It really sucks but FCS is not highly looked upon in the NFL draft today. Those type of guys are rare today . If moats had those combine numbers and productivity at the FBS level he would have been drafted a lot higher.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._C._Sherritt. This is a guy that Stephon reminds me of.

I played with Derrick Lllyod and Akeem Jordan. Lloyd was just such a beast when he played .
