President Alger will attend the game on Sat and then he will be a speaker at the President's Forum. His speech is on "The Future of Diversity as a Compelling Interest in Higher Education." Not a bad idea to merge some academics and athletics in the MAC.

Are you for real?!?! I mean, why on earth would he have a speaking engagement at a MAC school, while we had a football game at the same time?? This is obviously a ploy to be buddy-buddy with a fellow MAC school and get ourselves in the conference. Nothing more, nothing less.

He's an academic first and foremost; he's a wonderful ambassador for JMU. I'm pleased he's been asked to speak at this Forum. He will also be team teaching a leadership course for the Honors Program in the Spring.
