Wonderful.....
Yep. And I tell it how I see it. Right now, I'm worried about the A&M game. And prior to the season, I figured we would have 3 games to worry about. But I have 4 now, with LSU, A&M, Ole Miss and Auburn. Even throw a Mississippi State in there. It's gonna be a tougher year than we've had in the past, I see it being much like 2009. We could possibly lose 2 games this year. But we are capable of 14-0 if we can gel the O line. I think anyone in the top 10 could give Bama trouble, also Notre Dame.

I did say that everyone can post their top 25 if they have one. But apparently no one here has opinions for themselves, they just criticize. Alabama is the best as of right now. I believe Ohio State may lose 3 games this year. Nebraska could lose more than that. Texas should be fine, as long as they start games well. Same for Oklahoma. TCU looked very good vs a top tier defense. Okie State played well. I think those 2 teams will decide the Big12 this year. Texas has to start quicker than they did vs New Mexico State if they want to win the Big12.

So go ahead and post your top25, since you apparently have better insight than I do.

I wouldn't be too concerned with A&M, they flew under the radar all year last year until the Alabama game... They have an Oline as good as Alabama's right now. MissSt and Auburn are nothing impressive this year either... I think TCU will end up higher than 20 by mid season because Boykin is going to be a top tier QB.

With all that said, I can see that LSU finally has a worthy offense that isn't afraid to pass, but like Alabama has to do with their Oline, LSU has to do with their defense, we lost 8 starters, which is a record for LSU. But I think we're going to do just fine with what we've got. This could be a close repeat of 2011, but hopefully with a Champ win.

Ohio State who? I heard they were the only team that could de-crown Alabama... Must be the politically correct team to use in football now.

Another year, same old story for my Bearcats.

Have finished in the top 25, with at least 10 wins, 5 out of the last 6 years despite starting every single one of those seasons unranked. And after the blowout of Purdue, Coach Tuberville has them poised to do it again.

UC is a top 25 team.

I like the Bearcats, best team in Ohio if you ask me... And I think they'll be ranked.

2009 was a great year for them, and Tuberville is an amazing coach... Auburn (besides the year they bought ol gay dude Newton) hasn't been crap since his departure.

I can almost guarantee you that with the Tubes taking control, they'll be getting more recognition now.

Hate all you want, but it's my opinion. I was unimpressed by many of these teams. If you're a top tier team, you take care of business, and you do it in the first half. Especially when facing non AQ teams at home. I you don't agree, just post yours. I'd like to see everyone else's anyway.

Don't have a huge problem with it. Ohio State should be a little higher. So should Ok State. I'd put LSU around 6 or 7.

I think it's the perception tOSU and the slobberers have put out about their strength... Did anyone outside of Buckeye fans and Holtz really think that tOSU was the team to dethrone Alabama?

I think LSU does, especially since we play in Tuscaloosa this year, LSU always wins there... Mark May said everyone must be forgetting that LSU plays Alabama this year, and he's got it right.

Last team worthy before Alabama was Notre Dame in 2012 and LSU in 2011. No one else has proven worthy since then. Bama's defense and special teams were very impressive last night. Oregon played Nicholls State, but TCOB. Stanford had off week, who knows. Clemson and South Carolina both looked like contenders, and LSU and Florida looked good as well. TAMU was average at best. Louisville looked like a top 5 team. Michigan and Notre Dame TCOB. Baylor, UCLA, Wisky, Okie State all TCOB. TCU played well vs LSU. Georgia played well vs Clemson. Ole Miss and Vandy looked solid. Washington really looked good. Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Ohio State all need to toughen up. Fresno State looked good, as well as Rutgers. Cincinatti and Michigan State looked good, but I need to see them play again. Northwestern traveled cross country and won. That's my take.

Please...spell Cincinnati right...Cincinnati has one T not 2.

It's about f*cking time too... It's been horrible to sit back and watch them struggle on offense, primarily just the passing game, with such a good defense. Now they have the offense, but lost 8 on defense. So far so good though...

Actually I think the SEC is weaker this year than we have seen it in quite awhile. That is not to say I think it is weak, it absolutely is not weak. It just isn't as dominant in comparison to other conferences this year. I think the PAC is the conference that will surprise this year. I am looking forward to seeing how Florida State looks tonight.

It's not that I think your rankings are all that bad, you put thought into it but none the less your Alabama centric viewpoint is what I was alluding to in my very short post. I wasn't really taking a shot at your rankings overall.

I little ribbing, that is all.

As far as my own personal opinion on rankings? It is way too early to tell. I am the guy around here that says early season wins and losses shouldn't be taken into equal consideration in comparison to late season wins and losses.

After just one game, I would say most programs still don't know their own true identities on offense and defense yet.

How can a South Carolina team that beat an average UNC team be ranked higher than a Clemson team that beat Georgia? I also doubt Fresno State is better than Miami or GT.

FSU & LSU should both be above the Gators: 7 & 8 or 8 & 7...

For stomping Purdue? It's not that I don't think Cincy deserves the consideration but I think it is far too early to be going around pronouncing them worthy of top 25 status due to stomping Purdue.

The conventional wisdom on Stanford is that their O and D lines are super dominant, they're very solid at RB and TE, and therefore it won't matter if their QB is merely ok. Their schedule is backloaded (Oregon, USC and ND all in November), but maybe if UW is as good as they looked against Boise then UW-Stanford will be a good test.

UW has a decent shot at being 4-0 heading into Stanford. Will at least be a battle of 2 teams in the top 10-15. I think it will be a great test for both teams.
