I posted last week that the no huddle was doing nothing for us. Don't like it at all.

I agree but no huddle doesn't mean you have to snap the ball right away. Just watch Northwestern, they will hurry up get set, see the defense then get the right call in. We would just hurry up and run that stupid unbalanced so fast the Oline had no idea who to block. Plus it was always that same toss and after the second time the backside LB would just take an outside rush and run it down from behind. It wasn't the normal unbalanced because all we had was a guard on the backside and he had to take the inside man. So the lb had a free rush. Now if we would have pulled out a reverse off that to Keith it would have went to the house.

I like no huddle but not snapping the ball that fast. Plus we go the illegal procedure because TVT was not even looking to see if the WR's were set.

When I saw MSU failing to move the ball against USF, a team that got throttled by a mediocre FCS team last week, that was my first "uh oh."

I think Nicholls gained more yardage on us in the first quarter than the Spartans did the entire game last week.

How much did we pay them to come here?

A few hundred shy of topping the conference. This was why we needed a feel-good win, even against a no name. Instead the egg was laid. As the losses pile up and the weather gets colder, the figure will drop down quickly.

We pulled great attendance that we won't see again for quite some time. Such a waste.

Down 1 with 5 minutes to go why in the world were we going no huddle and rushing to the line? not giving the qb the ability to change the direction of the run play. All we needed to do was go down and kick a field while using up the clock and we win, avoid the embarrassment of what ends up being the worst loss in my lifetime.

You DID warn us about Ciarroca. I think you need to come back and insist on more meetings, hold the AD accountable again, you were our policeman and we didn't realize what a good job that you did back then.

I'm sure it's been said but, coaching-wise, we certainly kicked our own ass with the failed 2-pt in lieu of the XP and going for it on 4th instead of kicking relatively gimme FGs. Not that being tied at the end or barely squeaking past FCS Nicholls would've been that much better, but I'm trying to find some positives in that otherwise magnificently clusterf**kish level of performance we witnessed last night. Of course, everything's always wonderful until it doesn't work, right?

Other positives - best run game most of us in the stands had seen in ages. Kicking and punting were again quite good.

Negatives - um, everything else, obviously. And for the love of all things holy, why on earth was TVT still in there in the 2nd half? He looked like garbage all night. Kept throwing way out of bounds when he could've floated the ball over the WRs shoulder and have at least given the guy a chance to make a play. Literally must've waster 5-10 downs with uncatchable passes like that. And, as we've all noted, his head doesn't move from the guy he's locked onto from 3 seconds before he throws the ball. No way he's going to do ANYTHING against other defenses if he keeps that up. Yeah, the line wasn't perfect, but he looked completely lost out there.

I think our run game had more to do with NSU's defense than our great play. Just better and bigger athletes. Took him half the game, but he finally figured out he had an edge there and exploited it, and then quickly reverted to what wasn't working in the 4th quarter.

Clusterf$^k, yep that pretty much describes it.
