any word on his injury?

any other injuries?

it looks like Nate Richards just cramped up and will be fine.

Collar bone, 4 to 6 weeks
10 aggravated an earlier shoulder late 2 nd quarter, but will be full speed for KU.
Other than that nothing serious.
Nuowso will be back for KU' as will Gaines.
Looks like Klare has fully recovered and vary glad to see that.

That's too bad about Peterson but at least RB is a position we're loaded at. I bet you he heals quicker than expected too, just based on the type of player he is on the field. But getting him healthy in time for Tulsa would be a good goal - and it would also allow him to play a final game in his home state as an Owl.

Agree that if we had to lose a player to injury RB is the best place for it to happen.

Would like to use Luke Turner a little more now that Peterson is out for a few weeks. Sure, Dillard looks good, but either Turner or Eddington should get looks as our 2nd power back behind Ross.

What about Hamilton? Don't think I saw him play at A&M at all?

RE: Turner Peterson
Bummer about Petersen but this is an opportunity to get our "power" RBs of the future valuable reps. I saw Luke Turner in the game, but I do not recall seeing Brandon Hamilton. By the way, the Aggie fans I sat with gushed over Ross. We definitely gave a good account for ourselves...with the exception of the 4th and inches play in the 4th quarter. All the surrounding Aggie fans turned to me incredulous that we did not snap that ball under center.

I hate to see a player go down for 1/2 the season the way Peterson went down. It's not the worst hit I've seen, but I don't think there's much justifying that kind of hit, either.

Hamilton played on special teams. He'll probably get some carries while Petersen is out.

I was impressed by Dillard's moxy running up the middle against larger defenders. He's going to be a good one. A little surprised we didn't throw to him, as he's an exceptional receiver. I bet we'll see that some going forward.

Does a screen pass even exist in Reagan's offensive playbook, as we've hardly seen one thrown over the past couple years-- despite having some speedy RBs?

RE: Turner Peterson
I remember we ran some RB screens back in Reagan's first year, but they didn't go too well because the OL at that point didn't have the athleticism to get out and block them effectively. With that he sort of phased them out of the offense. I think we may be able to execute them better now with this current OL, but it's definitely not a "core" play at the moment.

I think Dillard would also be good on option routes out of backfield where he just releases to the LB and routes according to how the LB plays him.

I just hope we get to see a lot more Ross vs. a safety confrontations in the open field.

RE: Turner Peterson
They ran two at the last scrimmage, and both were disasters. McHargue totally gave it away with a poor fake and real slow dropback looking at his receiver all the way. Big loss. A little later Driphus tried one that was almost as bad and another big loss. If we can't execute any better than that I hope we don't run any more.
