RE: JMU at Akron
Very brief mention of JMU in a CBSSports.com article on the FCS upsets as it relates to this weeks' games.

Fear the FCS? Not all of it, and (probably) not this Saturday

Quote:On the other side of the coin, James Madison should be a match for Akron and New Hampshire is only a field goal underdog at Central Michigan ... but those wins won't come close to moving the needle like EWU's or NDSU's.

Looks like just about everyone's got us as a 3-pt underdog also

Anyone know if there's a way to watch this game through ESPN3 or madizone later that evening? I've got a wedding I have to attend at 6:30, which means I can watch at least the first half while the ceremony is going on, but don't want to miss the 2nd half during the reception.

Seriously, why don't weddings start with the reception and end with an optional ceremony?

espn3 archives the video after the game is over.

I'm also going to a wedding at the same time.

The better question is: who has a fall wedding?

I plan on doing that during the ceremony, which means I'll get to watch at least until 7:00.

Got a really good rate at the Quality Inn Hall of Fame in North Canton with AAA rate. Taxes and everything for $74.

Not the Taj Mahal, but recently renovated and pretty decent user reviews.

Because most ppl would be wasted? Unless it's a dry wedding of course.

RE: JMU at Akron
One more thing to consider. AKron plays at Michigan the next week...Maybe we can get them looking ahead? I'm sure some of their players will put less focus and effort than usual into this game because of that.

I really want the Dukes to take this and comfortably because I've been telling my non-JMU friends for years that we'd be a middle of the road MAC/Sun Belt team....generally it's received with mixed skepticism.

Weddings are cheaper...and they don't root hard enough.

My wife and I got married in September, but we made sure it didn't conflict with a JMU home game.
Still married 10 years later. :)

That bleacher report was awful. His argument is Akron is FBS, JMU is FCS therefore Akron beats JMU.

I've learned from the Akron board that we are a "little pissant school."

At least they're becoming a little more active over there.

Funny how the little pissant school has about 50 times as much chatter about football.
