RE: USF vs McNeese
I honestly don't know what's up with the attendance, but it seems to be a bay-area problem. I'm in Texas now, but from what all my friends and relatives tell me, the Bucs are always blacked out since they never sell out, and the Rays were at the bottom for attendance with a playoff caliber team. Even HOUSTON local radio was commenting on that last year...

I'm NOT making excuses, but IMHO this is one of the reasons I like Houston, Temple, etc. as conference mates... It can be tough in a big pro-sports city to get the attention... and dang near impossible when you're losing.

No excuses though, with our school size, we should have 40K for every game. Maybe we do need that OCS...

Taggart is a great recruiter.

He has good core schemes.

He does not make good in game adjustments at this point in his career.

Couple that with McNeese have Taggarts DC from last year as their DC/Ass. HC and it looks like McNeese knew everything that would be coming there way. It was like cheating on a test for them.

Also, be prepared for Taggart to stand by his man at QB. At WKU, the fanbase begged and pleaded for a new QB for 4 years. It didn't happen.

Taggart is a net positive, but he is going to need some physical guys on both sides of the ball and a horse at RB that he can ride to victory. Good luck Bulls.

Again... not making excuses, but McN basically got spotted 28 points. Three TDS directly from the turnovers, and one TD that should never have happened with the 3rd down bounce-pass ruled a completion. That, plus if Eveld had played the whole game, we'd have had at least 1-2 more scores....

But I'm not gonna woulda-coulda-shoulda... our guys blew it. Can't give away that many points. Ironic, but we beat Notre Dame with about the same thing happening in reverse. lol

I will be SHOCKED if we see Floyd next week... how can that possible be justified?

Houston "resigned" their offensive coordinator after their game 1 loss to new FBS school Texas State last year. These things happen, that's why we watch the games, nothing is preordained in football.
