Considering that it was a prime time game on a major TV network, and not cable, that's probably the most obvious statement made here recently... 07-coffee3

And high scoring so joe "i dont know my ( I ) from my elbow" stayed tuned for most of it.

That game probably would have kept the attention of the ADHD crowd... 07-coffee3

NY TV ratings last night: Giants-Pats: 5.5, Jets-Eagles: 3.6, Rutgers-Fresno State: 0.6.

How are the Fresno Rutgers ratings given the time of the game in New York? Basically starting at 10:30 and ending at 3:00 am on a weeknight?

RE: Week 1 TV ratings
"Family Guy" and "Law and Order: SUV" reruns garner HUGE numbers daily... it's even more impressive when you consider that was a Law & Order marathon - lots of options to watch and they appear 9x in the top half of the daily numbers! Wow - it really puts sports cable programing into perspective when Law & Order reruns on the USA Network pounds a lot of their programing.

When Cards play kentucky on the same day it's usually a 1.something. No real diff., what do you think people are doing on a Sunday afternoon on Labor Day weekend? Spending it indoors? Monday Evening, yes.

USA Today had it at 389,000 with a 11.1 rating in Seattle.

Saturday’s Temple/Notre Dame college football game drew a 1.6 overnight rating on NBC, according to ShowBuzz Daily — down 24% from NBC’s first Notre Dame telecast last year (2.1), and down a third from the 2011 opener (2.4).

The 1.6 overnight is the second-lowest for a Notre Dame opener on NBC since at least 1997, ahead of only Nevada/Notre Dame in 2009 (1.3).

Temple/Notre Dame was outdrawn head-to-head by regional action on ABC (2.2)
