Mickey on ESPN radio hampton roads
He just had a segment on air today. It seems as if he has a prepared speech as his answers mimicked much of what we heard in his press conference. However there were a few good nuggets in the segment that may be worth your time if you want to check it out on the Internet. ESPN 94.1

I watched his Monday press conference. It just looks like he's totally uncomfortable up there. He literally strains to answer everything- it's painful to watch. He doesn't look mad- more like exhausted, where his thoughts come slowly.

I'm not a Mickey basher, but I wanted to throw-up listening to his comments about ODU scheduling. He went on and on and giving credit to the way they schedule wins. He was trying to sell us on his desire for an easy schedule.

he also said we play division 2 football in that same series of questions. it was a shake your head kind of moment when your FCS head coach doesn't know what ncaa division his program plays in.

He couldn't even wait a minute for Curt to finish his wrap-up before saying his good-bye and then walked in front of the camera on the way out.

You guys don't think 4 hours of sleep a night for the last 3-4 weeks takes a toll? I'd bet it does.

Agree, I live in Tidewater, and while I hate having to hear about ODU football down here, I do admit that I have a coach crush on Bobby Wilder.

I am not trying to bash MM, but every head coach that is getting interviewed and appearing on TV shows etc this time of year has the same hectic schedule. Poor excuse for a lack of professionalism or comportment. I caught about 5 minutes of the O duh coach's show the other day and have to admit that Wilder is articulate and full of energy; he was actually engaging. do they have the same personality? No. But even old troll Frank Beamer cracks a joke once in a while and tries to hold a good interview. Bottom line: for a D 1 head ball coach lack of sleep is no excuse.
