NIU vs Iowa Student Package
Student fan bus available for Iowa football game

NIU is excited to announce discounted student football game tickets and a student fan bus package for the Saturday, Aug. 31, football game between NIU and the University of Iowa! Cheer on the NIU Huskies as we travel to Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City for the first game of the season.

A limited number of discounted student tickets will be available for purchase beginning at noon Monday, Aug. 26. Ticket sales close at 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, or when they sell out. Student tickets and student fan bus packages will be available at niutickets.com.

There are two ticket options for NIU students:
1. Discounted NIU student football tickets are $25, and the student is responsible for his or her own travel.

2. Discounted NIU student fan bus tickets are $35. The fan bus package includes:

Coach bus travel to Kinnick Stadium and returning to DeKalb
One NIU student football game ticket

Check-in for the student fan bus package will occur in lot C3 (North of the Convocation Center) at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31.

Students will not be permitted to bring any liquids onto the bus, and bags will be searched.

Buses will leave Kinnick Stadium immediately following the game and will make one stop on the way back to campus.

Student football game tickets and student fan bus package tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. No exceptions. Only NIU students in good academic and judicial standing will be allowed to participate in the student fan bus package.

Awesome job by athletics here realizing how cool it'll be to get a bunch of students at the game. Definitely purchasing one of these student tickets and then riding with the road crew!

NIU is bringing back the OneCard at the gate or has that been around for a while now?

It used to be show your ID walk in my freshman year, then they went to a pick up your ticket before the game, and now back to student IDs i guess.

That came back just last year.

Aside from the idea you apparently don't like their logo, what does this mean?
For a school that had to undergo the politically correct name change, that logo incorporates the capital "E" the school has had for much of its history with the nickname, so what's wrong with it?

I have no problem with EMU's logo. But, Akron's looks like a donkey to me and Ball State's cardinal looks rather odd.

That means the logo looks like it was drawn by an 8th grader in 1945....the bird needs a rebirth
