Not that your big is bad or inferior......I think Birdsong brings a different kind of big to the equation.

Isn't Western Kentucky's Sesame Street mascot called Big Red?

I like Ginga Ninja purely for the originality. Big Red is way too common.

Yeah, this is my theory too - unless I change my mind later. Seriously, there are about 100 reasons why he should not have had a high completion rate last season, starting with the fact that he was inserted into a run-oriented system designed for a different QB. With improved touch, experience and a better passing scheme, I think he will be very successful.

The QB concern is the reason JMU is not on anyone's preseason radar.
#1 Birdsong will have to stay healthy.
#2 Birdsong will have to improve dramatically on his 53% completion rate.
#3 we all know Mickey will revert to run, run, run if the passing game is shaky during the season.

Hoping for the best and hoping that a good run game will set up easy play action passing opportunities

I worry about the above, I worry about Having folks that can catch the ball from WR to tight end. Hoping our line is improved from last year. I am fearing that we have year 5 of a not so great O. Hoping my fears are for not.

Man... I had REALLY considered posting this. I just didn't think anyone would watch long enough to get it. Minchim is great. Don't know if you watched his role on Californication last season, but he stole the show.

We'll forget that we ever had a running game!

I can see these boards now: "We need to run more, dag-nab-it!!" what the hell are we doing?

I had never heard of him until he had a comedy special on Showtime this past April. Found it very entertaining (on a number of levels) so I watched it 4-5 more times. Was impressed to see that he also wrote the music and lyrics to Matilda, the big Broadway hit that opened this past year.

haha, that was actually pretty good. Hanky was right, I almost bailed about 30 seconds in not having any idea what I was watching or why. Once you get the point it is good stuff. Funny.

So how long til the MRDS can put that together in the stands also?
