Cardinal Empire
I have visited the site a couple of times...looks pretty cool.
Question: are most of the Ville fans there cool to UC fans like the Ville fans here or will I be wasting my time posting on the forums there?

I know that generally UC and UofL fans protect each other.....like, I can yell at my brother, but you better not type mentality.....I was just wondering what the general feel was on that board......

Just read it now. Really not sure about your question, sorry. I visit the site but not the message board so can't help you with an answer.

Hey Bearcats, sorry I didn't see this until just now. While I am biased in my opinion of the board, I really do think that our members are a very laid-back bunch who don't get immediately testy when a rival fan shows up and posts a thing or two. When we played Missouri State a couple weeks ago, we had a TON of their folks come over and post. It was a good time and really allowed us to learn about a program we weren't familiar with. The MO State fans really sang the board's praises back on their own forums.

Another observation... with all that has happened in the past year to Cincinnati, I think our members are MUCH MORE respectful of Bearcat athletics, their athletes, and the coaches who lead those teams. I personally developed a lot of respect for Eric Hicks this past season and the way he lost the celebratory excessiveness and just did his job. The guy never needed to tug at his jersey after every play for me to know he was dominating our big men. When he just went to work, scored his points, and grabbed his rebounds, it made it much harder to not root for him. I now hope he can make an NBA roster. He has the heart and ability to be a player at the next level.

Anyway, sorry for the long-winded response. If you do decide to join the boards and begin posting, I think you will find we very much welcome level-headed rival fans with open arms. It's only the smack-talking fans we give the boot, and we do that just as much to our own fans as we do to visitors.

The only board you may get ripped on is the rivals board. They are a little insane over there, but if you post on scout or cardinal empire you should be fine. The UofL guys over here and the ones on cardinal empire are some of the best i've been around. The mods and the guys that run the Uofl rivals site str real cool but some of the lunatics that post over there is what made that site fall on hard times in my opinion. If I go to rivals its only to check out the premium content which is what I enjoy most. I think you would receive a warm welcome at Cardinal Empire.

I actually need to sign up a new account, because I had one name on there but I forgot the username and password.LOL I usually just go in there and skim through all the post. So I'll probably get a new account today, you guys do a great job over there though. Of course as a fan I like all the UofL sites, but Cardinal empire seems like the only one where you can find some level headed fans. Scout is great with a few wacko's and no offense to the LSR guys but they need to take out some of the trash over there.
