Patience. Let him master basic Google before we introduce him to Google maps

Yeah, considering that itis actually a homecoming for several of the coaches, I doubt they play in Little Rock.

Remarkably some people also still remember Bear Bryant.

I use mapquest for the majority of my travel questions, I haven't gotten a GPS in a car or phone yet.

According to my Rand Mc Nally, Memphis to Little Rock is 137 mi and Little Rock to Fayetteville is another 188 miles (total given is 318 mi). That is about the drive from Huntsville to Mobile on I-65.

Something tells me the 318 miles in Arkansas aren't going to be on a road like I-65.

Are we going to need 4-wheel drive?

What's wrong with using a map book? When your GPS goes out or phone can't get a signal, nothing beats a hard map and landmarks.

But that's coming from an Infantry man and firefighter. I do like mapquest to get mileage and estimated drive times myself.

From Memphis to Fayetteville, it's all interstate.

They are outdated, that's it. I'm guessing people just a few years younger then me probably don't even know what the hell Rand McNally is.

There is technically nothing wrong with using a record player or recording something on VHS either.

When I enrolled at Bama in Jan. 1960, fans were still asking if the new coach would be the guy to bring Bama back from the pit "Ears" Whitworth had dug with his 20 consecutive losses over 3 seasons. It was something like the questions still being asked about the present UAB coaching staff. I'm hoping for similar results over the next few years.

BTW, Vince Lombardy was building a NFL championship team around his 17th round draft choice from one of those 0-10 Bama (QB Bart Starr) teams.

It has been 30 years since he passed away. No college football player was alive when he died, getting to point where most pro players would not have been alive when he died.

I have to admit though that I do know where I was at when I heard the news.

I've heard of Bear Bryant. Can you tell me about him? Or maybe MB will, he's the historian...

Maybe we should start a thread?

Some of the software tools that are available in my job include mileage calculators.

I have to perform updates to these monthly in some areas & quarterly in others.

You would be surprised at the number of changes made to the town, city, county & state setup.

Not to mention the tax rate changes that are updated monthly.

I've never once lost as signal on a paper road map. I've battled like hell to fold them, but no technology's perfect.

Who is Vince Lombardy?

He was a famous drunk who came up with innovative ways to cheat. Also, a renowned potato chip connoisseur.
