The passport card saves a little bit of money but really is limited in its usefulness...if you can afford to take a cruise, I think you can afford to get a regular passport and not risk being stranded for want of a real passport.

Talking about the Bahamas and Nassau, they do follow US sports there. All the ESPNs are on the cable in Nassau, along with TSN, but you have to buy a more expensive package. Fox Sports 1 is offered on the most basic cable package.

They have an FM sports station in Nassau that broadcasts local talk shows most of the day and ESPN at other times, but most of the talk is about local sports (a lot of track and field talk).

That Atlantis tournament brings a lot of fans from the Northeast, but they charge a lot to stay there during the prime time when the tournament is (Thanksgiving). You have to bring a credit card if you want to go to Atlantis.

This bowl could work its way up to being a major player. The 15k capacity is low, even for CUSA teams. Who knows where they might be in a decade??

I'd heard that 30K was a requirement to host a bowl game. AFAIR, that claim was without a link to backing source, but it was a poster who seemed to be a straight shooter.

But AFAIR, the Bahamas national soccer stadium that has the 15,000 capacity is built so it can be expanded to 30,000, so maybe they knew that when they were building it. And an effective project to expand it to 30,000 might help put the corrupt and incompetent process of building the 15,000 stadium behind them.

The next year it could be three different teams. This would allow for more time on passports.

It would be harder to pull of if you take conference champions in this bowl game but yes it makes sense to plan ahead.

Another option is for each MAC and CUSA team to run its roster through the passport application process for good measure just in case prior to the start of the season. It doesn't take that much effort and college kids are traveling abroad all the time now anyways.

How do they do thing with college basketball teams that take a European tour? That is a fairly common practice.

Only losers hang banners for making bowl games. How pathetic.
