From Alan Shelby's mailout:

After 17 total years of service to Rice Athletics, Kim Koehn has resigned as Associate AD – Development to become Vice President for Development of the Greater Houston Area for the American Heart Association. Her last day is August 28.

Also, Dave Biancamano, who joined Rice Athletics in 2011, has resigned as Director of Develop-ment to become Associate AD for Fundraising and External Development at James Madison University. His last day is August 27.

Congrats to Kim. I cannot think of anyone who has given as much to Rice and Rice athletics as Kim. From her time as Baseball Operations Manager to her current role in Development she has been an absolute joy to know. No matter what we needed she was always there to help with a smile, even through some of the recent tough times.

It will be strange not to see Kim at athletic events as a Rice employee but welcome her as a fan. The number of hours she worked beyond the regular working day for the baseball team or Development were enormous, I am surprised she even knew the way home at times during the athletic year.

Thanks Kim!

+1000. Kim will be greatly missed by all of us....but I'm sure she'll continue to attend events as a fan. Wishing her nothing but the best going forward....and thank her for everything she'd done over the years.

I sincerely hope these are wonderful opportunities that happened to come along at this time as opposed to forerunners of the selection process for the new AD.

Great Lady. She is one of the big reasons for our fondness towards our Baseball Owls. She wasn't shy about asking for help, and likewise wasn't shy in giving thanks when someone helped out. She is one of our family's favorite people.
