They were brothers.

The younger brother was played by an actor who is homosexual. The older brother was played by Kelsey Grammer who is not only hetero but actually conservative on some political issues.

Puberty is the cut off. Anyone who has hit puberty and plays video games on avregular basis falls under the pathetic category IMO.

I've said it earlier, there's no difference between playing video games and watching movies/tv/going to message boards on a regular basis.

I suppose you don't have a smart phone or don't have any games on it?

At least with message boards, you're actually exchanging thoughts/comments/ideas with other people. Video games tend to be far more solitary.

Yes on the phone, no on the games.

Yes on the phone, no on the games.

It's not really exchanging thoughts/comments/ideas, it's looking for a circlejerk around your own ideas.

I haven't once seen someone accept an idea that they didn't already have.

I've met couples playing Dungeons and Dragons in an obscure gaming store that are as happy as a couple going hunting in the woods.

To each their own.

I agree. I will say though that I see a lot more fat kids now than I remember growing up. I believe the video game culture has contributed to it. I don't see kids playing outside as much these days. When I was a kid...We had to be dragged home at dark. We were outside being active almost every day weather permitting.

BTW...I equate my own waistline to the same thing in regard to the TV and recliner.03-banghead

Age two. In other words, never start it .

Bunch of unrealistic ****. Read to your children. Take them to the woods, mountains, seashore etc. Get out of the house with them.

Nothing created in any entertainment venue has much if any value...especially today. 07-coffee3

That's why I'd rather see adults playing than kids.

Bring Rebel Back!!!

Now, there's something that I'd love to see around here and in the Memphistigers.org P-R forum. A place where fire erupts daily.

Well -- csnbbs aside -- we must have different message boards that we like to participate in.

But just to take your experience as definitive. Okay then, strike "ideas" and go with "thoughts/comments" then. Or just "comments" if you prefer. It's still communication with other people. It's not impossible for video games to generate that kind of communication, but it is quite rare, IMHO.

But even so, I wouldn't say adults playing video games are "pathetic" or "losers" or "anti-social" as sometimes described. To me, it's just another hobby like doing crossword puzzles or collecting stamps or baseball cards. Harmless in and of itself.
