I must be old as hell, but does anybody else think that $22.95 is expensive for an adjustable hat? Don't get me wrong, I will get sauced Aug. 31, go to the bookstore and probably buy it; but sitting here in my office - working and not getting a vacation - this seems expensive.

My thinking would be that increasing my donation will go to educating more young men and women. However, buying a hat at that price, is lining someone's pockets and not being prudent with my money. Right, wrong, or indifferent, that's my thoughts.

It's called relative value. I can afford a $23 hat if I wanted, it seems expensive based on what I've paid in the past, particularly for that style hat.

While I generally up my donation every year regardless, the same concept applies to FBS. Not only will my donation increase, but I would expect ticket prices, parking and minimum giving amounts to increase based on the increased product quality.

So yes, to me that does make sense.
