I believe it will be 9 or 10 teams selected from both conferences and not 9 or 10 games. I would guess that only about 4 games per year will be part of the arrangement.
Finally, UC may or may not be one of the teams selected. But if so, I do think the UC vs. Ole Miss matchup is a good possibility. That is, if both teams are selected.
Why do you want UC to play Ole Miss? Don't you want UC to play the best calibur teams? Ole Miss is hardly what I'd call a national basketball power.
I think people want it because of the Andy Kennedy connection. Personally I don't want that. Cincinnati/Kentucky is obviously a natural matchup, but Cincinnati/Arkansas is also a quality matchup. Cincinnati and Arkansas played each other several times during the 90s in some pretty good matchups. UC faced Arkansas the first time when Arkansas was the defending national champions and Cincinnati dominated the game until falling apart the last 5 minutes of the game and losing by a few points. Then Cincinnati went up to Fayetteville (sp?) and took apart Arkansas. That year Arkansas went on to make the Sweet 16 and Cincinnati went on to make the Elite Eight. Then UC and Arkansas met at the Shoe with Cincinnati absolutely butchering them in a game that was never competitive. Cincinnati's and Arkansas' styles have always been similar.
UC Arkansas would be good...the last time we played at the Shoe...1997, we beat them by 38 points and handed them their 2nd worst loss in school history. The year before that, we beat them IN Arkansas by 17 and that's only because we hit 58% of our free throws otherwise that would have been 25+ point victory......

WVU has played LSU the last 2 years. I'd like to see that rivalry continue, and even extend into a football rivalry as well. I could definitely handle going to Baton Rouge to tailgate every other year.

The odds
The SEC is a weak conf, I know they had 2/4 final four teams, but besides those two who's good
Bama-lost to ND
South Carolina-you've won 2 NITs, know what about the more importanat Tourney
Kentucky-They just can't get fired up when they need to
Tenn-Crashed and burned @ the end of the season

The SEC has a good history in the NCAA tourney. And its the best sports conference in America. I live in SEC country, and the fans down here are rabid. It makes for some very interesting rivalries. The Big East aligning with the SEC would be great for both conferences. Look at the women's basketball rivalry between Tennessee and UConn. Similar rivalries in men's basketball and football would be great. It would be a big boost to people who have no conception of what goes on in the Big East. If it doesn't concern the SEC, it really gets little coverage down here.
