You should specify basketball in the title since its football season

Three AAC sites and four AAC schools. What? No Big East schools? 03-nutkick

Can I ask why Temple v. La Salle is a big game?

I think they're showcasing classic venues or something like that. Game's going to be at the Palestra, a good (albeit young) Temple team vs. a good La Salle team that just made it to the Sweet 16. ESPN supposedly wanted Temple vs. Villanova which would've been epic but Temple said to go with La Salle instead! Ha

I love you guys for that one. Screw the C7. No ESPN for you!

Is it just me or does it seem like the c7 is having a hard time getting off the ground. You hardly even hear about them anymore.

The Big East believes they can get 6-7 teams in the dance. We really lost out on all those powerhouses.

The C7 struggled forever to get their commish in place, then their website was delayed. And there's just not a whole lot of excitement in August for a conference that doesn't play football

Which is exactly part of the downfall of having a basketball centric conference. You lose out on marketing and branding the other 8 months of the year

Yep, the grass is always looks greener, but they are going to rapidly find out sometimes it's just an illusion.

The only one I'll remotely miss out of that bunch is Marquette because of their long history with UC . The rest.. meh

Georgetown+Villanova+Marquette < Memphis + Temple + UConn (+ Louisville)

We've got some up and comers

They have DePaul and Providence

To be fair providence should be pretty good this year. If they didn't play in the big east they would have been a tourney team last year. Cotton is a hell of a player and that pg they have is damn good who will replace counsil and was a mcd AA last year. They have some talent they would easily finish in the top 4 of the AAC. Providence under this new regime has a bright future.
