CBS Sports: UConn, Army to kick off series at Yankee Stadium in 2014
The Huskies will take the field in the home of the New York Yankees on Nov. 8, 2014, with Army making a return visit on Sept. 12, 2015. That game is currently expected to take place at UConn's home stadium, Rentschler Field.

UConn now has a set non-conference schedule for 2014. The Huskies will host BYU (Aug. 28), Stony Brook (Sept. 6) and Boise State (Sept. 13) before kicking off their American Athletic Conference league schedule and facing Army in early November.

This is good stuff. As bad on the field as Army has been they continue to get a fair amount of exposure. For that reason i would love to see them land in the AAC with the current line up of teams.

Jesus, is Stony Brook playing everyone in the AAC in 2014? We've got them on our schedule too.

They aren't on Temples schedule as far as i know. There is 1 opening in 2017 but i have not seen anything about Stony Brook. in 2014 its Vanderbilt, Navy, Maryland, and Penn State.

Any game at Yankee Stadium is always a plus in terms of media-attention.

Being so close to NYC Yankee Stadium is a hook Army can pull off for a game or 2 each year if they played the right competition. Army is one of the very few additions to the AAC that I would advocate that can add revenue into everyone’s pocket.

Army v UConn at Yankee Stadium is going to be a nice event. I expect UConn to travel an excellent number of fans for this game.

UConn 2014 OOC schedule:

BYU @ East Hartford
Boise @ East Hartford
Stony Brook @ East Hartford
Army @ Yankee Stadium (less than 20 miles from Greenwich, Conn.)

Not bad at all.
