Buy me a ticket and I will be glad to go in your place and cheer for ECU. I guarantee you I will enjoy myself: College football + beer + good food works for me anywhere. When MEMPHIS is in the game, multiply by a factor of 10.

No problem I'll gladly mail you a ticket to that game if ECU's in it before I'll go back.

Wolf, there is no reason to even mention the liberty bowl They are high enough up food chain that a back up will not be needed. That was simply put in to calm angry Memphis fans. there is a 0.00000000000000000000000001% chance AAC gets in that bowl

Yes, the AAC will get a backup for Liberty Bowl as token gesture by their committee to Memphis, but it will in all probability be a meaningless gesture as the Liberty is in the SEC 2-7 rotation and will almost surely get filled every year. Expect the Liberty to also say how much it values Memphis blah blah blah and that won't be worth two cents either.

Bottom line is that behind closed doors the LB honchos are thrilled to have secured an SEC/Big 12 match up. Given their location, it is a dream match up for them.

The SEC signed on recently but just for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. And in 2012 neither the ACC or SEC was able to meet its commitment so the Indy was stuck with Ohio vs UL-Monroe.

Indy was definitely staring down the barrel of a G5 vs G5 tie-in situation as ACC was wavering about committing beyond 2013 so snagging the ACC for the next several years is a nice coup. Any SEC tie-in going forward would be way down the food chain, #10 or lower so backup here will be meaningful if we (AAC) can snag that.

Question: Do you ever get tired of putting down the AAC? I know you are an SEC fan but I assume SEC fans really have other things to do than hang out in a lil old G5 forum and constantly put the conference and it's teams down. I mean, is this a paid position? Are there other SEC fans in other forums doing the same thing...did the SEC assign you to us, like, you're our Andrea Adelson?

Top Tier
1. Orange vs SEC/B10/ND
2. Capitol One when B10 plays ACC in Orange vs SEC
2. Champ Bowl when Capitol is not in play vs B12

Mid Tier (3/4 -6/7) ACC places teams for best matchup and avoid repeat teams
Belk vs SEC
Gator/Music vs SEC
Pinstripe vs B10
Sun vs PAC 12

Lower Tier 7/8 - 9/10 (Same ACC Placement, higher paying bowls get preference if no team is available)
Detroit vs B10
Independence cs ??? (My guess SEC with MWC backup)
Military vs AAC

Last Bowl Slots
10/11 - BOBB vs AAC - 2014 & 16, then Backup team (Doubt it happens, think AAC & CUSA fills it slots)
11/12 - Birmingham Backup Slot (See this as SEC backup which is more likely since the AAC will fill it slots)

My guess now for AAC (No order - AAC Flex Schedule for Best Matchup)
1. Miami
2. St. Pete
3. Military
4. Birmingham
5. Armed Forces
6. Fort Worth
7. Hawaii (Rotational) 2 years
8. Ponsettia Bowl (Rotational) 2 years
9. Christmas Bowl? (Rotational) 2 years
10. Liberty Back up

FYI--your #4 AAC bowl (Armed Forces) and #5 AAC bowl (Ft Worth) are the same bowl. Frankly, I doubt 7-9 make our line-up, unless it's as a part of a rumored G5 pool. My guess is the New Orleans Bowl will be our bottom bowl and that the Independence Bowl will also be in the final mix. Likely 7 total ties.

Food for thought, I think the new Baylor stadium in Waco might be an interesting location for a potential new bowl between the MW and the AAC. That's going to be a sweet stadium and its capacity of 45k is perfect for a G5 bowl.

How on earth is what i said a putdown of the AAC? The Indy currently gets the SEC #10 and if the SEC signs again it surely will not be for a higher slot so what i said was accurate. And getting a tie-in either primary or backup WOULD be a good thing for us as well.

you offer mostly two types of input in this form: snide remarks and backhanded compliments to the AAC and its teams: Snide and back handed.

You're so cute when you're being coy....

flame on in your veiled pathetic way....personally I liked you better when you got banned (for the second time I think) and were for a short time Quo v2.0 when you came back to life as a Temple fan for a while. For the life of me I can't recall the username you went under at that time but it was fracking hilarious. And you also got spotted and called out in about a day. Oh well carry on....you're a real treat.

PS: See that little wingding you use with the guy twirling is finger around the side of his head indicating insanity...that's what gave you away after you got banned and came back as a Temple fan. So just a little friendly advice, if you get banned (AGAIN)...don't come back and use that wingding it's a dead give away dude.

Remember...backhanded compliments and snide remarks + insanity wingding = Quo. Very important you don't forget this for next time.

Sorry, I thought AF was in Houston. I was thinking the AAC would have Fort Worth and Houston. I thought I read that Hawaii was MWC vs CUSA & AAC & either MAC or SB. Figure there would be another bowl for the years AAC did not play in Hawaii bowl. Maybe it was CUSA/MAC/SB.

I don't get why some get offended with different views. Some people try to pick a fight on boards, I find it best to not fully engage. I enjoy this board because it had the best bowl updates and many teams the best up-to-date NCAA comments. My conference is the ACC but I like ECU as well. One thing I can say, I much rather go to Annapolia or St. Pete than Detroit. I figure Detroit will be like Boise, the dreaded game my team never had to go to. :)

Right now, I am liking how the ACC bowl is looking. I still think Miami bowl verse the MWC champ would be a great game. I believe the Christmas Bowl verse the Pac 10 would be far better as a rotation with Hawaii bowl. Wish you all the best of luck.

Lots of hot air but nothing about how what i said was a putdown of the AAC. Figures. 07-coffee3

LOL I don't have time to list every post of yours that features you slamming the AAC and it's teams; it would probably blow the server if I listed them all.

Top Tier
1. Orange vs SEC/B10/ND
2. Capitol One when B10 plays ACC in Orange vs SEC
2. Champ Bowl when Capitol is not in play vs B12

Mid Tier (3/4 -6/7) ACC places teams for best matchup and avoid repeat teams
Belk vs SEC
Gator/Music vs SEC
Pinstripe vs B10
Sun vs PAC 12

Lower Tier 7/8 - 9/10 (Same ACC Placement, higher paying bowls get preference if no team is available)
Detroit vs B10
Independence cs ??? (My guess SEC with MWC backup)
Military vs AAC

Last Bowl Slots
10/11 - BOBB vs AAC - 2014 & 16, then Backup team (Doubt it happens, think AAC & CUSA fills it slots)
11/12 - Birmingham Backup Slot (See this as SEC backup which is more likely since the AAC will fill it slots)

My guess now for AAC (No order - AAC Flex Schedule for Best Matchup)
1. Miami
2. St. Pete
3. Military
4. Birmingham
5. Armed Forces
6. Fort Worth
7. Hawaii (Rotational) 2 years
8. Ponsettia Bowl (Rotational) 2 years
9. Christmas Bowl? (Rotational) 2 years
10. Liberty Back up

Food for thought, I think the new Baylor stadium in Waco might be an interesting location for a potential new bowl between the MW and the AAC. That's going to be a sweet stadium and its capacity of 45k is perfect for a G5 bowl.

And there is a Cracker Barrel in Waco.
