The NFL is going to kill attendance if it doesn't watch out
The RedZone channel already really hurts them.

Now, in the sake of security THEATER ... they've gone full TSA.

The problem is that they make about 10 times from TV what they make from people actually showing up. They don't care about the local fan.

It sucks. We usually go to a couple of Falcons games a year. I'm not one of those huge purse carrying women but come on. I guess now when I go I'll just put my ID and credit card in my pocket.

honestly attendance is so much less important in terms of revenue, than it used to be. The thunder sell out every single game, but their TV contract nets them about $200 million less than the lakers tv deal. The astros don't draw at all (for obvious reasons), yet they just inked a new tv deal that will net them about $100 million/season. The only reason attendance matters in football is because of the local tv/black out situations.

Keep in mind i'm not saying there isn't a potential TV rights bubble, but right now TV money is far more important than ticket sales
