One thing I've noticed after perusing the archives is the sheer number of posters who have been banned and remain so. Some of these guys have 20,000+ posts.

Only sunshine pumping allowed here I guess.

Can we trade? I would rather have Stammers and get rid of GeoJammy.

To speculate: He either crossed the line while arguing with one or more members of the fab 5.
OR: He created an alias which released a lot of the vitriol he had kept bottled while posting as Stammers.

Hard to tell that he bottled that vitriol. He seemed to lay the vitriol on pretty damn thick under his main username.

Memphis Canes, to my knowledge, has never called anyone an embicile or a moron. You just want anyone banned that doesn't agree with your point of view.

I don't take any of this personal, nor do I go out of my way to insult people. I just try to talk basketball, objectively. That really pisses a select few off, I guess.

He gets a little heavy-handed sometimes. But, at least he's pro-Tiger.
What most of "The Gang of 5 or 6" don't get is: Well, let me put it this way.

Negative posts certainly have their place and can be right on the money.
However, there are a few posters who, in the name of "just posting their take on the team", consistently post negative opinions. Even when the news being commented on is generally received by others as good.

These posters just simply have a negative thought process and approach most threads with negativity. It gets tiresome to most people.
Some try to diplomatically get this across to the constant offenders with humor-ie humorously editing a post. Most just don't say anything.
I try to explain once in a while what the basic prob is so that perhaps certain posters will attempt to be more positive than they are presently, which in turn would make this board (hopefully) close to what it used to be.

Yes. But, he almost never crossed the line, which several posters on here do with great regularity-it seems almost with every post in every thread-it's so often. I think maybe Stammers reached a point where he figured something like,"Shoot, I've had enough. If these(insert curse name here) can do it, I'm giving it back-with gusto. And so he did. I've been tempted many times to do the same. The level of ridiculousness that goes without banishment or even "in thread" mod warning is jaw dropping.

That's interesting since Stammers main targets, Memphis Canes, Saluki and myself, have never been banned from here. Come on Paz you can do better than that.

The posters banned tend not to play well with others, are obvious trolls, or consistently write remarks indistinguishable from those made by Tiger program enemies.

Quick question, what was your screen name before 'Pastenized'? I noticed you have been a user since 2008 and Pastner wassn't hc until 2009. Or did you register under the name of a newly hired third assistant?

Just curious, since you talk of some gang of five (never heard of that and I've been on here since 2004).

As for Stammers, the guy just hand be even tempered. Not good for a close to 60 year old dude to have to call people retarded or other names.
