FYI I saw that Leebron tweeted that all 400 student tickets were sold out.

I have two game tickets available and will match that price for current Rice students. PM me today if interested (Rice fans of any age).

Yep -- signs to that effect were posted on the doors of Tudor Fieldhouse by Wednesday afternoon.

Yes - all tickets did sell out faster than expected. Some students told me they were in class at the start of ticket sales and by the time they went to buy tickets, they weren't any left. One student said it was thought that number "400" was based on average student attendance at home games. As the student noted, although it's nice to see students are willing to travel 90 miles to College Station to support the team, it's sad to see so few willing to cross campus to do the same. Hopefully this enthusiasm will continue through the season and the student section will be fuller than past years! Go Owls!

Goes to show ya, it is not how we play sometimes, but who. Interest is in in state/old swc rivalries, lots of kids have parents, siblings who attend one or the other, it was family, the SWC. I met two Rice families at the basebll game in College Station several years ago--both sets had kids go to A&M. Hope we kick some tail, make some high school kids sit up and take notice tomorrow.

I bet we travel better than Kansas.
