Tawdry? yeah I suppose so but the discussion?

Sorry, poor grammar. I meant discussion on a tawdry subject. Tawdry probably wasn't the best word in either case, but it's the best one I could come up with. I was not an English major.

lol Me neither

we could practice "not English" together. There'd be more missed points than in the Syracuse game.

One does not need to be dating a person to sexually harass them. The tweets or texts or whatever were NOT something one should be receiving from their coach. Hard to say the allegations were proven false since harrassment is pretty much an "eye of the beholder" kind of thing. If she felt pressured or intimidated by those texts, she was well within her rights to ask for an investigation. Nobody on this board knows enough about the details to say what happened or didn't happen. Dude's gone, sort of, move on.

While he brought success to the program you expect a coach to display a level of professionalism that reflects positively on the university. The first time I saw him in person with sweat pants and work boots was the Athletic department raffle. Good look for mowing the lawn but not for a fund raising event. If any of the stuff is true about the text and conversations he doesn't belong coaching young women based on that alone. Hadsell and Cross. Two coaches that never respected their position or lived up to their responsibilities.

Just because he was guilty of these things doesn't mean it is ok to ruin his name or life with such lies. By your logic, he was guilty of some things so he must be guilty of all things?
And let's be clear that there is a distinction between ethics and morals. Dating younger women is not a moral issue and it is only an ethical one if he was dating someone he coached. He admitted to dating shook 10+ years ago (before it was a university policy). That doesn't mean he should be falsely accused of doing it recently.

You are an idiot ux whatever.
My complaint is he couldn't produce a MAC winning Track & Field team.
That was his ultimate goal..unproduced.

The only thing I would say is that young adults, even women, aren't always innocent angels either. We'll never know all the details, but we know enough to know that he was in a position where violation of certain rules or expectations of conduct could get him into trouble. He screwed up and he knows it. People make mistakes. Hopefully he gets the help he needs and gets his life on a good track. I wish him success in his new career and his life.
