Coach's Caravan - Houston
An extraordinarily long work day kept me from enjoying the event. Tweets claimed over 100 in attendance @ St A's. I know a Parliamentarian or two made the scene. Aside from the usual preseason rah-rah-rah, was anything new or intriguing presented ?

RE: Coach's Caravan - Houston
I wasn't there, but JD tweeted quite a bit of stuff last night.

"Rice is in initial stage of plans to build locker rooms for soccer and track and field programs, interim AD Rick Mello said Thursday"

"Rice interim AD Rick Mello says push has been made to move proposed end zone project to north side of Rice Stadium"

"Rice interim AD Rick Mello says goal is to have work begin on stadium end zone facility by winter"

On the football front, Nwosu had offseason arthroscopic knee surgery and so he will take it slow in camp. Not supposed to miss any time. OG Drew Carroll is going to be out about 6 weeks as a recent MRI found a bone chip in his leg. Jimmy C is going to help Taylor McH with sliding. Various comments from the coaches on JD's timeline.

I can't tell if Jimmy Baseball helping McHargue with sliding is real or a joke...

It's real, that's going to happen. There were over 200 people in the room. Fun event. David Bailiff really knows how to work a room.

I commend the editor -- I was definitely there, but they managed to eliminate any footage with me in it.
