Speaking of winners and losers, you can already put U of Mass. and WVU in the losers' column for switching leagues. Let's see how happy ODU, UNCC, Appy. and Ga. State are after a year or two.
We hope JMU remains in the CAA. When the dust settles there will be many more losers than winners from reorganization.
Welcome to the boards Tom, but I think you're a little too late.
Haha, really quick, can you name the towns of the Big Ten or SEC??? Probably not without looking.
Ha, I'm actually going to try (and I promise w/o looking). I may even miss a school or two.
Big 10:
Michigan - Ann Arbor
Michigan State - East Landsing (or Lansing?)
Purdue - West Lafayette
Indiana - Bloomington
Northwestern - Evanston
Ohio State - Columbus
Maryland - College Park
Penn State - College Park
Illinois - Champagne
Iowa - Drawing a blank
Wisconsin - Madison
Rutgers - East Rutherford?
SEC:
Florida - Gainesville
South Carolina - Greenville(?)
Tennessee - Knoxville
Ole Miss -
A&M - Texas Station
LSU - Baton Rouge
Alabama - Tuscaloosa
Auburn - Auburn
Kentucky - Damn, I know I know this but I'm spacing
Miss. State - Starkville
Vanderbilt - Nashville
Georgia - Athens

I'm bored & going to take a shot. I'm only going to name football-playing schools & each league's to-date FINAL roster, not including teams that will be leaving in the next 1-2 years & including all teams in their league of destination, regardless of them playing out another season or two in a different league.
I'm sure it will be obvious by my mistakes, but I promise I'm not referencing anything for this except my own brain.

Close -- Texas State is the 11th team in the Sun Belt, and UAB is in CUSA. And if I didn't see Texas State in CUSA on your list, it might have taken me a while to remember it.

Who cares what a bunch of freaks on a message board can do...the vast majority of people who attend SEC, Big Ten, Big XII and Pac-12 schools probably can't even name which cities their fellow conference mates are in.
Quick, think of your five closest female friends and ask yourself if they could name 1/3 cities the schools in any conference are located...hell, ask your five closest male friends and it probably won't be much difference.

I also screwed up Penn State by saying College Park when it's State College. That's pretty pathetic seeing as though I've been there for several games.

I don't know what Yeager is palying at suggesting that JMU should be playing at the FCS level.
Bottom line is that we have far more in common with MAC, Sun Belt and C-USA schools (from an athletic perspective) than anybody in the current CAA. I like being with Delaware, W&M, Richmond and Villanova but Richmond and Nova are only with us for football and Delaware and W&M are best left as academic peers (totally acknowleding W&M is superior to us). Buffalo, Miami (Oh), Ohio and Toledo are much more aligned with JMU than Elon, Albany, Stony Brook and Rhode Island when it comes to athletics.

Penn State is an odd case. From a postal perspective, Penn State sits within the unincorporated town of University Park. The boundaries of University Park and the boundaries of the university are one and the same. From a state legal perspective, the campus sits primarily in State College but also partially in College Township.

My Dad went to Bob Jones University in the late 40's for a year. He hated every minute of it. Stated that he would have rather spent a year in prison.
