RE: AAC Bowl Article
...The American has announced a pairing with the Military Bowl at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., and commissioner Mike Aresco said the league has "well-developed plans" for a bowl it will operate at Marlins Park in Miami. The league also expects to renew its relationships with two ESPN-produced bowls, the Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl in St. Petersburg and the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham. With SMU and Houston joining the league, expect a presence in Texas, in bowls in Fort Worth and/or Houston. The league will likely have several "split" deals, with three appearances in the six-year cycle, and the Hawaii Bowl is likely to be one of those options.
The Liberty Bowl in Memphis ... is still a possibility...

".........when our bowl lineup is complete, we'll be able to say we're playing in some great destinations against quality opponents, and that will be something that really separates ourselves from the group of conferences we're being lumped in with."

At this date, you would think Aresco could say more than "EXPECT" for two bottom tier bowls. You think the league would have locked these two spots down for at least 3-6. I'm sorry but this looks more like putting icing on a cow patti. Wasn't this same writer that said St. Pete was going to be against CUSA/ACC? I had people skewering me when I stated when the ACC signed up with the Military bowl, it was hard for me to fathom the ACC would sign up for another AAC bowl. My interpretation from this article is that until the P5 is done choosing the lower level bows and who they want to play, then the AAC can have the scraps. People can dish on the other G5 conferences but at least they are getting linked to bowls. Finally, has anyone noticed has never officially annouced it was staying the the Military Bowl in 2014? I'd be shocked if it did not happen, but the ACC has not annouced it Lower Tier Bowls yet.

(1) "Haste makes waste"
(2) "He who laughs last, laughs best"
(3) The important measure is which G5 conferences wind up with the most bowl games involving P5 opponents. From what I hear, the AAC will be well ahead. Aresco and company know what they are doing.

Spoken like a true ACC fan. You're a 7-year member here, yet you've got 42 total posts, most in July of this year, and almost all have favorably mentioned the ACC bowl picture, and been skeptical toward the American.

Which, if you've grown used to cow patties alone, is not such a bad deal.
