When you say we didnt get the big name coaches we were after who are you referring to? Surely you don't think Keatts is or was a big time coach. He has no experience as a head coach in college.He is 3 deep as ass't coach at Louisville. He was brought in to recruit.He is not ready to run a program and certainly not rebuild a program in the shape ODU was left in by coach Jim Beam. Selig did the smart thing under the circumstances bringing in an experienced head coach.We got JJ for a good price.I am sure had we been foolish enough to offer Keatts the job we could have saved much more. Give WS and JJ a chance and you will see this was a very smart hire.

None of this explains how Matt Graves ended up at the coaching graveyard that is S. Alabama.

I am quite confused. I read through your entire post again. And I did it very slowly. And as best as I can tell there was not one question mark (?) in it. Therefore I do not know exactly what answer you expected. I made a statement which accurately explains my position in life in general. So in the future please first ask a question before being critical about not getting an answer.

You are correct. I did not ask a specific question. I attempted to open the door to get some perspective from you, something I'm sure you gathered, especially since you read my post so slowly. And, with all the sincerity I can muster, at this point even if I did ask something specific I wouldn't care what your answer was about what you like about ODU athletics today and what you get out of being a fan, given your steadfast reluctance to write something positive. I hope that's not too personal, 78, I don't mean it to be.

I have always thought that if people will only sit down together and have a conversation they will ultimately find some common ground. This is yet another example of the truth in my thought.
