Hell yeah, but it wasn't a if he loses we riot, if he wins we celebrate situation. If he had lost, you wouldn't have heard anything from anyone.

Everybody knew he was guilty, but it was a "see what it feels like" situation.

No jackstrap, it is about the 2 dead people OJ murdered in cold blood.

There would have been total riots had he been found guilty. During a liberal Clinton era, you better believe it.

Well like many said in the TM thread: it's not worth discussing conjecture. The jury decided what the jury decided.

As said in the Martin thread: if the jury decided that he wasn't guilty, he wasn't guilty. You can't have it that way in that thread and want it the other in this one.

The two incidents didn't have remotely the same circumstances. OJ was a cold blooded murderer. Zimmerman was acting in self defense. One case was decided correctly, one was the botch of the century.

Yeah it does. I won't go any farther on any case because the verdict is in on both cases.

I get what you're saying, but don't understand it. Explain what you mean by it was a "win". Who won? OR who lost?

Not trying to set a trap or anything, honest question.

The way I'm told from my grandparents and parents is that it was the first time that they could say that something finally happened where the others could feel cheated by the justice system.

So, kind of a poke in the eye? I guess I could see that, did they think it was the right decision though?

Yeah, I think OJ stopped being black after he left USC. He didn't become black again until he killed those people. Then when he was acquitted he stopped being black again.

I was sympathetic with you up until this point. It's hard to conceive of this being a win, but rather "yea! we're all screwed together...".
