Thanks for posting this. There's been a buzz all week on the Friar site, and getting Chukwu would be huge for PC...

Per Zags:

"Isaiah Whitehead will take an unofficial visit to Seton Hall on Saturday, Lincoln coach Tiny Morton told SNY.tv."

Good pub for SHU & the BE anyway you look at it....

Some more good news for SHU on the trail involving Khadeem Carrington the 4* SG out of Brooklyn. Coast2CoastHoops.com is reporting:

"2014 Bishop Laughlin (NY) guard Khadeen Carrington is taking a visit to Seton Hall today, per a source."

https://twitter.com/Coast2CoastHoop/stat...8518546432

Reactions:

The NY Post's Braziller:
"Carrington visit came as surprise to me but he said Seton Hall has been recruiting him for a while. its an unofficial visit."

My man Chris McManus from SOJuice:

"‏Seton hall Has been recruiting Carrington since last year. Trying to make major waves in NYC"

Willard & staff really need to keep this momentum growing.

I really hope that the signing of Cheuku is enough for Providence to bring in Terrell & Malik-Abu. As few blogs have said Providence remains the dark horse. If Providence is able to land the pair, it would have to be seen as the number one recruiting class in the country.
And that my friends is good for the Big East.

From Zags about 4* 2014 SG Marial Shayok:

"Home visits for 2014 Blair Academy wing @ToOffical_11 - Marquette (Tues), Minnesota (Wed), USC (Thurs), SHU (Fri) and BC (Monday)"

https://twitter.com/AdamZagoria/status/3...6295017472

SHU pounding the trail for real lately...

In about 3 hours, Jared Terrel and Abdul-Malik Abu will announce their choices at a joint press conference.

Rumors have Terrell going to Oklahoma State and Abu picking NC State over Florida. We'll find out for sure in a few hours.

Hi Melky,
Abu chose NC State, and Terrell chose Oklahoma State. Good luck to them. Gotta move on!

Cooley doesn't stop...

"Providence is hosting 2014 Top 100 F Ben Bentil today for an unofficial visit. Ed Cooley already moving on...Ed Cooley is all in on 2014 recruit @benbentil. Bentil and Paschal Chukwu would be one of the best front courts in the country"

RE: Summer Recruiting Thread - Big East.
Immediately following the announcements by Abu and Terrell to go to NC State and Oklahoma State, Cooley got a commitment from Junior Lomomba.

Lomomba is a 6'-5" transfer from Cleveland State, and a former 3-star who in 2012 had offers from West Virginia, UCLA, and others. Supposed to be a lockdown defender and a lunchpail type, high energy, athletic, and with a lot of upper body strength.

I like that Cooley wasted no time moving on to his next prospect. Great gameplan. Now it's on to hopefully get Ben Bentil.

Great news for the Big East. I know both Xavier and Creighton were on his short list, along with Minnesota and Purdue.

Was considered a future star as a freshman. Thought to be the next great player out of Madison Memorial after Wes Matthews and Vander Blue. Never got much better.
