Notre Dame is moving their return trip to Temple to 2015. Looking over the schedule it seems that Northwestern and Rice are the only two logical choices to still remove from 2014. But the article talks about how to move the NW game, so maybe we still might make the cut.

Considering you will probably not get an ACC team to get into the first week against Notre Dame (nor do I think Notre Dame would want it - it's a tune up game before playing Michigan), I think the Rice game likely will be on.

I'm actually thinking Purdue might be the odd team out, not NW.

That would be surprising considering ND and Purdue have quite a lot of history playing against each other. They've played each other every year since 1946.

It would be fantastic if our game is still on. Let's hope it stays that way.

The last time I talked with Rick Mello he said the game was still on, and we get a nice payday. Mello is the one that scheduled the game.

Didn't realize the history with Purdue went that deep and regular. So it very well likely would be NW.

Mello also has talked about trying to get a fan trip to ND scheduled that would go to Chicago and then bus to the game and return to Chicago.

And based on a discussion with Rick in Raleigh, I've already got the Chicago chapter of the ARA exploring ideas and potential activities for such a trip.

Unless we aren't very good at contracts, I suspect we get a decent payday even if they cancel... and can then possibly get another payday or a more likely "w"
