This is beyond eye-popping. I wish you guys well and hope you can land them all. I'll admit that I was a little surprised at the dismissal of Mike Davis but certainly no longer question it.

1. The hype currently is centered on them attending UAB
2. It shows that they can be in the spotlight, even at UAB
3. It shows that UAB still has national appeal.
4. Other recruits might be interested in UAB because of the hype.
5. It makes them seem/feel special as a group.

The Davis firing was one of those things that could really only be understood from the inside.

He was good enough to win most games, but bad enough to lose just about every big one. I have no ill will towards the man, but he just didn't live up to expectations. When I found out Haase was his replacement, I couldn't have been happier. Up to this point, he has given us no reason to believe he will be nothing less than a significant upgrade.

I have only noticed two coaches just totally lose their composure. I saw Mike Davis almost have a nervous breakdown when a dumb lane foul was made against Duke in the NCAA while he was at Indiana. Ever since then, I did question his maturity.

The other was Jeff Capel III when he was at VCU. I went to a bunch of their rivalry games vs ODU (great heat that is now a casualty of realignment). Several times I thought he just blew his cool and was not functioning.
