bengals, ravens....theres probably more if i go back far enough in history but the browns are still....the browns and they will never be any good.

the last time they won anything, my parents werent even born yet.

and look at the players they let go....

colt mc coy, peyton hillis, braylon edwards. the list goes on and on.

Seriously, those are your examples? Man, I agree that the Browns have made many stupid moves over the years, but those 3? Hillis was caustic in the locker room and caused untold problems. Last season he could barely get any snaps on the field in KC, and they immediately turned him loose. Now he is a possible backup in Tampa.

Edwards, other than 2010, where he had a good year, has been non existent since the Browns let him go. Only about 400 yards receiving in the last 2 seasons - total. The Jets released him yesterday.

Colt is barely hanging on with the 49ers. He was named the backup, after a lot of rumors the niners were trying to trade him, but got no takers, and he allowed them to renegotiate his contract down. Looks like he is on a short leash for now.

History seems to show that letting loose of those 3 were all good moves.

i could keep going backwards and just simply say "its the browns". and that says it all.

what other examples do you need?

also, did u not watch the game yesterday? all the announcers were saying "kapernick doesnt look ready. mc coy looks to be the most ready for the start at qb"

RE: News from Rockets in the NFL
As near as I can tell from scanning the various news sources, no Rockets were cut in the latest round today. That means 13 Rockets still on NFL rosters. Rosters are down to 75, with another cut coming after this week's games to get down to 53, and then scramble to fill practice squads.

Good news for Williams, in that the Seahawks put Harvin on the PUP list, freeing up a receiver slot in the near term. Also, the Bucs released a couple receivers and a couple Tight ends, but Page and Noble are still with the team.

Announcers say a lot of things, many of which are bunk. The bottom line is the niners tried to trade McCoy and no one wanted him, and they kept him only after he agreed to a salary cut. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Nice catch. It was under-thrown and could have easily been an interception.

Williams TD Catch was the #1 Play on ESPN's Top Ten Plays for week 3 of the NFL preseason.

Just wondered. I was driving back to Virginia from Ohio this morning and I stopped at a random gas station off of I-77 in WV. I ran into the store for a coffee and spotted a guy decked out in Toledo Rockets gear. He said that he was from North Carolina and heading up to Michigan for the weekend to visit family.

Good deal. Nah, not me. Though I wouldn't mind bumping into more Rocket faithful here in NC!

had a couple catches including a 20 yarder playing w the backups. still the number 1 return guy, didn't do much on kickoffs but had another good punt return and most importantly was secure w the ball.

like lance moore, EP has always had the look of a pro. maybe not the ideal size and speed but just plays at that high skill level and confidence of a professional.

Williams makes spectacular 50 yard reception, but bangs head on turf and is taken to the locker room for Concussion testing. Damn it.

News on final cuts starting to trickle in. Looks like Molls and Parmele were both cut. Hopefully Dan gets picked up somewhere. Harder for Jalen, given he is is 4+ year veteran.

We were at the Springfield/Swantan football game last night and they announced that Page made the final roster at TB. In the game vs WASH, he had 2 catches and did well at KR\PR. He had a 105yd KR called back on a holding penalty03-banghead

Assume this info is correct. If it is, congrats to Eric and his fans back here at home!

Hope that's true, as Tampa hasn't officially announced their roster moves yet.

Here's an interview with Page after the last game: http://www.buccaneers.com/multimedia/vid...-Here-Now/
