I was in the Detroit area on MAC Media Day. Coverage on the evening news between the two channels I was flipping back and forth through included one channel with no coverage and another channel showing Michigan players eating pizza at Uno's in Chicago (no coverage). Not much attention from the MAC Media Day host city.

Of course NBC Detroit also diverted the Stanley Cup Final game from the main NBC channel to a local channel (which my hotel's TV did not get).

I certainly wouldn't expect much coverage, well of any media day for that matter outside of the SEC

It would be funnier if he didn't. "We play football, and yeah, it's not too bad, so if you have nothing else to do, sure, watch it, if you can find it."

MAC Commissioner Questions the Meaning of Existence

"Why do you want to talk about football when there is widespread world hunger, the polar icecaps are melting and the sun burns out in 5 million years, tops??!!"

"Commissioner Steinbrecher, how does your league plan on following up last year's record setting Orange Bowl and 7 BCS wins?"

"Infinite love is the only truth, my son. Everything else is illusion. Now I would like to cede the balance of my time to my personal guru, His Holiness the Dalai Lama."

“What is a poet? An unhappy man who hides deep anguish in his heart, but whose lips are so formed that when the sigh and cry pass through them, it sounds like lovely music.... And people flock around the poet and say: 'Sing again soon' - that is, 'May new sufferings torment your soul but your lips be fashioned as before, for the cry would only frighten us, but the music, that is blissful.”

Maybe NIU should take the lead by revising its scheduling policy.

JMO, of course.

Yea well, they need to revise their scheduling just to catch up to some of the other conference schools, so they wouldn't be leading anything.
