Chicago employees run away from ObamaCare
Quote:The 62-year-old cop who was once named a Shoreline Hero by a North Side neighborhood group said he now faces co-pays of $750 a month for his and his wife's health insurance. He doesn't want to pay more.

"The mayor doesn't know, nobody knows what Obamacare entails, what it's gonna cover, how much it's gonna cost," Underwood says. "Nobody knows. It's a question the President of the United States couldn't answer."

Active duty cops are probably wondering what will happen to them but are afraid to speak up.

Give me a break.

Health care is regulated at the state level, not federal. everyone who posted above is whining about the states rights issue they invoke when they want to reinstate Jim Crow laws.

Obamacare sucks, but at least it is the first step in trying to get health care for everyone. I am in favor of a national health plan. Take the load of of business and guarantee health care for everyone.

You are right on one thing. Obamacare does suck. It will suck worse once it's implemented.

Right now everyone has access to healthcare. Hospitals MUST care for the indigent.
It's health insurance that everyone doesn't have, not health care.

Please define for me what exactly is "healthcare for everyone?"
does that mean some level of minimum care?
if so what is "minimum care?"
or does it mean everyone has access to every test, treatment, procedure?
if it's access to everything for everyone, won't someone have be regulating/approving treatments since healthcare is a limited resource?

Obamacare is not the solution, it is the problem.
It is also a tax, remember.

I've heard Republicans will bring back slavery if they get the House, Senate, and presidency.

The cartoon by Christopher Weyant argues that the GOP is sabotaging ObamaCare by popping a lot of balloons. If the GOP had controlled the executive branch at any point since ObamaCare became law in March 2010, that argument might have some validity. Of course, the reality is that the Obama Administration has controlled the executive branch since then. The unfolding train-wreck of ObamaCare is completely and utterly the fault and responsibility of his Administration, and no one else.
