Not sure how conference scheduling works 8 or 10 in Conference , all members of East plus one .........?

I don't think we are going to be playing 10 conference games a year. You really had me there for a second when I saw Texas A&M on the 2014 schedule (and with the fbschedules.com refernence) until I got to the end and saw the ** footnote. I have to admit that since we dropped UNCC, I have been keeping an eye on the Aggies schedule to see when they add their fourth OOC game and hoping it will say ODU.

So there will be 8 C all East (6) and 2 from the west with 4 OOC. I can adjust it. Now I can really be creative....LOL

What about a game at Tulane or LSU? New Orleans would be a fun destination.

Now with 8 CUSA Schools 6 from the east 2 from west. I have selected 4 OOC for each year with what I believe are some of the parameters the Athletic Dept. has stated they would like to accomplish. The most difficult part was to make sure Schools had open dates. link.... http://www.fbschedules.com/

I have been told LSU will only do home and home if your stadium is 50K plus. I don't know if that is true.

To stay on track with the home and homes I have on the schedule. It would have been difficult, but not impossible.

The Monarchs were slated to play at UNC Charlotte on Oct. 25, 2014, but recently canceled that game. ODU has agreed to pay Charlotte $60,000 to exercise a cancellation clause.

The Charlotte Observer speculated that ODU canceled the game because it needed to do so to schedule an FBS opponent. However, Selig said the Monarchs could schedule Vanderbilt without canceling the Charlotte game.

Stewart said the game was canceled in an effort to strengthen ODU’s schedule that season, ODU’s first in FBS.

I think we are still looking for a Big Game for Taylor's senior year to take the place of the UNCC away game that was canceled. A chance to send the Seniors on the road for a game they will remember for a lifetime.

It will be interesting to see what happens with that date.

Yeah, we would have needed this home game anyway for 2014, so this was likely in discussion before the Charlotte game was officially cancelled. I still like our chances of a guarantee game to a marquee school or destination for 2014.

I do like this match up with Vandy. While they're no pushover, they'd be a good opponent to face in 2014. Hopefully we'll have a road game with MTSU that season as well so we can space out our trips to Nashville.

LOL, I hear you.

Maybe with the recruiting we are doing and a new and successful DC, I hope we have taken steps to get that Achilles heel fixed. I foresee an improvement on the D, how much is still to be seen.
