Kentucky has 5 and Kansas has 3....Just how good are these freshman?

RE: Top 25 Incoming Freshman (Bleacher Report)
Remind me again how Austin Nichols got screwed out of the McDonalds AA game. Iverson is a consensus Top 30 player. In fact, he was a Top 3 player in his sophomore class, but apparently regressed enough to lower his ranking as a junior. He dominated last year's NBA Top 100 camp against the best players in the nation and restored that rep.
Among Nichols, Iverson and Nick King, we have a class with major star power. The reason we are ranked 3rd in recruiting behind Kentucky and Kansas is because they each signed a class that would be considered the best in ages. It just so happened that it's in the same year Josh signed his best class ever.

I see what y'all are saying, and Austin surely got screwed. But I'm becoming less impressed with the label of mcd aa. Hard experience.

Adonis didn't do much to shore it up either, unfortunately.

Well to be fair Adonis look every bit as good as expected the first half of his freshman season. He had freshman errors sure but he drove to the baskets, played defense, shot more then threes, didn't settle for that crazy 360 hook shot and he actually played good intense basketball. After his injury he was never the same.
I mean look the guy averaged almost 12 PPG not playing to his strengths. He rarely drove, rarely got out in transition. he gained to much weight, didn't lose it very well and played with no intensity. I'd like to see him succeed somewhere because the talent is there. He just played very timid 90% of the time and it hurt him and us.

100% correct. I think he saw his entire basketball career and the millions of dollars that he could make hinge upon him not injuring himself again. That's too much to worry about when you're trying to play basketball.

I think that's just who he is. By most (all accounts), he isn't mixing it up much this summer either.

I haven't seen him on the summer circuit. I've watched D.J. a few times. Thanks for the info.

I was amazed at how good Adonis' vertical leap was when he was measured. Yet he had 1 dunk all last season? Sounds gun shy, and understandable. I hope he gets past it. Some players never do.
