In Conference: UCF or ECU hands down. Great sports, great locations and great girls.


Out of Conference: As much as I hate them, I still wouldn't mind being a student at UT-Austin. (They're the people known as the Texas Longwhorns for those of you for are unfamiliar with the lone star state)

Another choice would be Arizona State, though I was also close to going to Oregon or Oregon State at one time too.

The only schools in the old SWC I considered were SMU and Texas. Football scholarship to both. Outside of the state I liked Tulane (for New Orleans) and Duke (for academics). Happy with my choice, though, and glad I went to a smaller school where I knew everybody, or so it seemed.

For what I went to school to study among schools in this league, I'd choose Univ. of Cinn. They have a great school in my field of study.

As an adult, choosing now I appreciate the USNA experience. Having been on campus and to Annapolis, there's something special about being a Midshipman...and having come from the academy.

Out of Conf. the one school I think I might have enjoyed was Cal Berkeley. I would be a great Cal Bear.

That said....Tulane is great

I was between Texas at Austin, Michigan State and Cincinnati. MSU and Cincinnati were offering me a partial ride for soccer, UT was a preferred walk-on but had the best Civil Engineering program of the three. It was a really hard choice but scholarships and the co-op program won out, but I would've definitely been alright with going to any of the three.

I decided between Penn State and Temple. My tour of Penn State consisted of a bus trip around campus -- way too big for me. I then visited Temple and loved the campus and school.

Wish I had looked at Pitt as well, but never visited/applied.

Harvard, Yale, Columbia.

Went to Miami (OH) on a scholie. Was like the 13th - 16th grades of high school.

I had been accepted to Tulane but couldn't afford it. If I could have, I would have.

I nearly went to Tulane. So there's my in-conference choice.

I also nearly went to Notre Dame. Twice (was my third best option for undergrad and my second best option for grad school).

After doing grad school at Washington University in St. Louis, I have to say that I should have thought about it more for undergrad. I loved my time at WUSTL (say it with me: "Woostul")

Choosing in conference I would have to choose SMU or Tulane, both great universities both great cities.

My first choice overall would have to have been Harvard, followed by Duke as a close second.

In conference, gave a look at Rutgers. Maybe would've considered UCF or UConn.

Out of conference, almost went to Drexel but it was too expensive. Never really considered Penn State. No diversity, too many self-absorbed douchebags and promiscuous sorority girls wearing the same UGGs and North Face jacket.

I visited a friend at UGA once and severely regretted not going to an SEC school. Those SEC girls.

Out of: Emory/Vandy/Oregon/UCLA/Gonzaga were my tops

In conference would have considered Rutgers.

Penn State out of conference.

I grew up and attended a school in Denver, CO... I *wish* I had been more confident and ready to have attended a school away from home... In that light, I wish I could have attended U.C., though I never would have thought about living in Cincinnati, Ohio at the time.

I chose between Emory, Georgia, George Washington, and a few liberal arts colleges (that I was never too interested in).

I really think I made the right choice, but Georgia could have worked too.

Are there some schools I could have gotten into that maybe I should have applied to in hindsight? Vanderbilt, Boston College, UNC, and that's about it. I'm really happy with the choice I made, Tulane was a good fit for me at the time and in hindsight.

In conference: USF. Sister went there and had family besides her living there.
Out of conference: Florida or Ohio State, but I didn't have the $$$ to live away from home and pay for school.

I have no regrets though. UC was a good fit for me and a top engineering school at the time.

I got into Georgetown and Notre Dame so if I could do it over again I would pick Notre Dame. In conference, well we have Tulane for another year so I would go with them or Rice.

Went to Memphis & Houston

In conf:
ECU - like my school to actually be good in football j/k
Louisville - very underrated school

Out of conf:
Rice
Vanderbilt
Army or Navy
Hillsdale

In conference: Tulane or UC. Visited UConn and it wasn't for me.
Out of conference: Stanford easily. In terms of places I could've gotten into, Kansas or Oregon.

honestly i wouldn't go to another school in this conference if you paid me to go there

Stateside my second choice would've been Louisiana. Until i got remarried i was planning on going to the University of Aberdeen in Scotland
