His reply was that Wisconsin was better than NIU last season. good grief.

NIU really needs to beat Iowa, so badly.

Correct.

The only way we're going to get the to the next level of respect, is to be 4-0 when the sun sets on 9/28.

3-1 won't get what we're really looking for. Unfortunate, but that's the truth.

This might be considered a loser mentality but at this point, I do not even care much about the Purdue result, Iowa is THE game. NIU won't get a BCS shot this year just because it looks like Boise could lose 2 games and still be ranked ahead of NIU even if NIU ran the table. Boise is that much overanked to start the year. For some reason, I just want to see an Iowa win mainly as closure for last year.
There are no rankings out yet.

Boise will be anywhere from 15 to 18.

Boise has a ball buster schedule at washington to open (the team they beat by 2 to win their bowl) at BYU(you know the Cougs are going to jacked up for that game) at Fresno (Traditional rival) at SD ST(Boise recruits alot of So Cal talent, you know SD ST is going to want to defend their home turf)

Then they have to play the winner of the other division now that the MWC has 12 teams and that could be either UT ST or SJ ST who both finished in the top 25 last year and return Maxwell award candidates at QB.

Not really concerned about Boise, I don't see them winning more than 10 if they run the table they deserve a BCS bowl bid

Top 25 MAC teams are considered a fluke, and great MAC players are thought of as players overlooked by BCS schools. Therefore, BCS shools are given more benefit of the doubt when it comes to replacing graduates than MAC teams.

Look on the bright side. In spite of all they accomplished last year, the 2014 Huskies can still enter the season with a chip on their shoulder. It is better to be ranked at the end of the season.
