National security is being used as an excuse to ferret out enemies. There simply is no other explanation that matches the facts. And it's not just Zero. The same thing was going on under Shrub. Neither side has gotten enough power--yet--to grow big enough cojones actually to USE any of it. But that's a matter of time. We need a smaller federal government, we need it desperately, and we need it NOW.

Well, The smaller federal government candidate, we now need desperately, was Romney, whom you hated and you stated O's re-election was preferable.

Smaller government is only part of it though.

What made TSA start doing this now? A tip? There are better ways to cause terror in the US, but if the terrorists want to knock out planes all they have to do is smuggle shoulder fired missiles in from Mexico and set up at the end of the runway. Hell, two or three terrorists with large caliber weapons can sit there and take pot shots all day long.

If the TSA wants to search my car, fine, but they should also wash and wax it.

That caused me to laugh.
Am sure they are considering your proposal.
